접근금지명령: 법원은 그 권한으로 별도의 이유 제기 청문회 (Order to Show Cause Hearing) 을 통해 위협적인 배우자에게 집이나 직장들을 포함한 다른 배우자의 근처에 접촉, 접근등을 한시적으로 금지할 수 있습니다.
VAWA: 가정폭력의 피해자는 VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) 법령에 따라 영주권이나 시민권자 배우자또는 부모의 청원이 없이도 미이민국 버몬서비스센터에 Form I-360 양식과 증빙서류들을 접수하여 본인이 직접 이민청원서를 제출할 수 있습니다.
